Operate concrete batch plant, ensure mix quality and coordinate with crews.

Tasks

-Operate on-site concrete batch plant. -Communicate with placing foreman and quality control representatives to determine required testing and production batches, start times and overall placing requirements. -Monitor inventory control of materials. -Batch concrete load while making necessary material and moisture adjustments. -Oversee mixing process to ensure accurate proportion of cement, aggregates, water, and admixture prior to loading on truck. -Initiate the required batches in the batch plant Command Alkon operating system. -Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials. -Establish and maintain effective working relationships with field and office personnel. -Work in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to the elements.

What You Bring

-High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not mandatory -Must be able to pass a Pre-Employment drug screen. -Must have good hand-eye coordination, quick reaction times. -Experience with Command Alkon Operating System required. -Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone. -Ability to receive written or oral instructions. -Flexible to work long hours and varied shifts -Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards. -Available to work day and nightshifts. -Able to walk moderate distances to reach work area up to 1/2 mile -Able to wear a hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, and safety-toed boots.
