The Role
Overview
Install and maintain underground gas and water pipelines using pipefitting and fusion.

Tasks
-Participate in ongoing safety and operator qualification training. -Identify and protect underground utilities and potential hazards during excavation. -Interpret blueprints, specifications, and job orders to determine pipe system layout. -Construct, install, and maintain underground piping systems and equipment for natural gas and water distribution. -Support the safety of all team members and ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies. -Perform QA/QC testing on pipe systems to verify compliance with standards. -Erect temporary structures, signage, and barriers to protect the public and crew. -Cut, thread, bend, and fit pipes using hand and power tools. -Join pipes using fusion, electrofusion, or mechanical coupling methods. -Maintain accurate records of work, inspections, and materials used. -Signal operators to align or adjust heavy machinery. -Prepare sites for pipeline installation; dig trenches and level ground. -Clean and maintain construction equipment and company vehicles. -Load, unload, and distribute materials and tools at job sites. -Assist in installing valves, traps, drains, and other fixtures in piping systems.

What You Bring
-Must be able to obtain and maintain all required Operator Qualifications (OQ). -Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and adhere to a flexible schedule. -Must be able to lift to 50 lbs frequently and perform physically demanding tasks daily. -Prior experience in gas utility or water pipeline construction is highly desirable. -Able to walk, stoop, crouch, kneel, climb, twist, and stand for extended periods. -Strong hand-eye coordination and physical dexterity. -Skilled in using pipefitting tools and heavy equipment near underground utilities. -High school diploma or GED required; vocational or technical training in pipefitting strongly preferred. -Must be available to work extended hours, including nights and weekends, as required by the project. -Willingness to travel to job sites, typically within a 4-hour radius of the home office. -Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions from a Foreman or Supervisor -Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. -Ability to read and understand plans, specifications, and safety procedures.
