The Role

Overview

Coordinate and produce proposals for engineering projects, handling content, design, and submission.

Tasks

-Reviews RFP; develops proposal schedule; creates outline, organization chart and other diagrams as needed; participates in meetings; and facilitates communication among the proposal team -Coordinates the internal and potentially external flow and review of all proposal inputs and outputs with multi-disciplined, multi-office, and multi-firm project teams -Coordinates final proposal production, reproduction, binding, and shipping/submittal of document(s) when necessary -Leads activities involved with gathering and formatting content associated with proposal development -Performs internal personnel and project experience research in support of proposal efforts -Assists with updates to resumes and project descriptions -Ensures continuity and compliance with brand standards and RFP requirements

-Proofreads and edits for format, grammar, style, punctuation, and spelling -Sensitivity to deadlines with a willingness to work necessary hours to meet them -Superior written and oral communication skills -Uses creativity to prepare document layouts in a visually appealing manner -Experience with Microsoft Word - styles, tables, and pagination -Flexible and open to balancing priorities and managing multiple tasks simultaneously within compressed timeframes -Ability to process information quickly and accurately, with organizational skills and heightened attention to detail -1 - 5 years of proposal-related experience for a professional services, A/E/C industry, design, logistics, or operations and maintenance type firm desired -BA/BFA/BS in Communications, Marketing, English, or related degrees that demonstrate education in writing and/or graphics -Experience with MS Excel -Experience working with Adobe InDesign required -Experience using Adobe Acrobat -Experience with MS PowerPoint -Experience working at a consulting engineering firm is preferred, and public sector experience is also desired, particularly with SF330 qualifications packages; experience with State Department of Transportation (DOT) proposals will move your resume up -Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop, Express, and/or Illustrator preferred
