Civil Engineer - Construction Administration (New Grad)

Overview

Provide construction admin support, coordinate contractors, review RFIs, shop draws.

Tasks

-Provide construction related support to design teams, contractors, and clients -Review and respond to RFIs -Precon and course of construction meeting attendance -Shop Drawings and submittal review -Work with the Construction Admin and design teams to execute and assist in the following construction-related services: -Complies with all policies and standards -Takes initiative on tasks and in coordinating with other members of the design team -Work directly with and become POC for contractors -Coordinate communication between contractors and the design teams -Permit coordination

-Ability to effectively discuss project issues with contractors and reviewing agencies -Open and transparent communication with senior leadership as well as local office management -Excellent written and verbal communication skills -Ability to solve problems using sound professional judgment, creativity and innovation -Strong organizational skills and able to manage many projects at the same time -Complete visibility and involvement in the projects your team works on -Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering preferred
