The Role

Overview

Assist in building maintenance and supervise work, covering repairs, HVAC, plumbing, landscaping.

Tasks

-Provide emergency resident support and respond to after-hours emergency calls. -Prepare vacant apartment for market ready condition, may include cleaning and painting. -Assist Maintenance Supervisor with scheduling contractors to perform work on the property. -Repair and maintain simple electrical circuits, switches, outlets, and lighting fixtures. -Repair and maintain building exteriors and interior common areas. -Assist Maintenance Supervisor with directing team members. -Maintain lawns, grounds, landscaping, and parking lots including snow removal. -Repair, install and maintain basic plumbing fixtures such as water heaters, lavatories, toilets, dishwashers. Service, maintain and trouble shoot HVAC systems. -Repair carpeting and tile. -Complete all maintenance requests in an efficient and courteous manner.

What You Bring

-Must be able to read and comprehend the English language. -Must maintain universal EPA designation/certification. -Must be willing to travel for training and meetings. -Able to work overtime and emergency call in. -Demonstrated ability or experience in the maintenance field desirable. -Fluent in Spanish is a plus. -Must maintain a valid driver's license in the state of residency. -Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. -High school diploma or equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.
