Field Test Precision Technology Intern

Assist field testing and validation of prototype tractors and precision technology.

Tasks

-Manage vehicle and customer relations during validation activities on customer farms for both vehicle and precision functions. -Assist test engineers with routine engineering tests in the field, including use of test equipment devices i.e. dynamometers, instrumentation, data acquisition systems. -Assemble and install updated parts to Prototype AG vehicles -Prepare prototype tractors and test equipment for shipping to field. -Operate/drive AG vehicles and/or test equipment for test purposes, as required. -Collate technical documentation necessary to support prototype tractors, engineers and drivers -Assist in tuning and development of AutoGuidance controls systems. -Procure parts and equipment necessary to service and repair Prototype tractors. -This role will involve travel to customer farms, test sites and CNH dealership locations. -Report concerns found in the field and facilitate in problem resolution.

What You Bring

-Studying towards, or holding a degree. -Knowledge of hydraulic and mechanical systems. -Computer literacy to a high standard. -Good practical working knowledge of tractors and their applications. -Candidates must be enthusiastic and possess good oral and written communication skills. -Full UK or Ireland driving license. -The position may require travel to dealers, customers or test sites and therefore some flexibility in working hours is required. -Reasonable workshop/fitting skills. -Competent operator of agricultural equipment. -Diagnose, repair, root cause issues found on mechanical, hydraulic, and/or electrical components on Ag machinery or test systems. -Experience of tractor electrical and electronic systems - fault finding, calibration and set up of electrical/electronic systems.
