Fab Machine Operator - 1st Shift

Overview

Operate general, saw and CNC machines, handle material, maintain records, ensure safety.

Tasks

-Comply with safety policies and procedures. -Follow up on material for outside processing. -Work in a safe manner always wearing all required Proper Protective Equipment (PPE). -Keep accurate records. -Accepts feedback from the Team Captain to ensure the bundles meet safety standards. -Inform the Supervisor of any equipment problems or any other problems. -While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. -Record all information on required paperwork. -Pack and ship finished material. -Pack and ship material for outside processing -While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. -Maintain a clean, clutter-free workstation.

What You Bring

-Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables. -Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. -Available to run General, Saws and CNC machines. -Post material pulled in computer. -Must be conscientious, diplomatic, and detail oriented. -Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. -HS Diploma/GED -Able to participate in a collaborative environment. -The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. -Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. -Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work efficiently and effectively; self-motivated; self-starter. -Must pass a company background check and drug screen. -Must also pass a skills-based test.
