Lead survey crew, operate Trimble equipment, conduct staking & as-built surveys.

Tasks

-Utilizing Trimble equipment to measure all utility points including curb and gutter, water & sewer, storm drain, and paving. -Set up, adjust, and operate Trimble survey equipment including total station, data collector, and GPS equipment. -Reviewing survey field calculations and adjusting when needed. -Prepare accurate field notes and complete as-built drawings. -Assist with your crew member's new hire training plan, career planning, and continuous professional development at Atwell. -Locating or establishing vertical and horizontal control. -Perform survey activities such as leveling, traversing, topographic mapping, construction layout, as-built surveys, boundary surveys, and profile and cross-section surveys. -Responsible for maintaining work-issued vehicles, laptops, and survey equipment. -Follow Atwell’s safety protocols. -Measure distances, angles, and elevations for staking purposes.

What You Bring

-Ability to read and interpret engineering plans. -5+ years of experience in a Survey Crew Chief role performing boundary, ALTA, Asbuilt, and Construction Staking surveys -Ability to effectively communicate with contractors, inspectors and team leaders. -Experience with Trimble equipment (preferred) -Commute to and from sites daily in a company-provided truck.
