The Role

Overview

Conduct ROW engineering tasks, plan reviews, field meetings, and legal support in Knoxville.

Tasks

-Review and provide comments for LPA projects as it relates to the row plans, attend PGIs, assist State Attorney General's office with condemned tracts, testify in court on condemnation tracts when necessary, review legal descriptions and prepare ROW exhibits. -Attend field reviews/meetings to provide comments to plans, site visits prior to ROW field reviews. -Attend public meetings, check titles (prepare title check letters), assist agents/property owners with plan reading for offers and closings, plan change requests (submit and track progress for plan accuracy).

What You Bring

-Experience with QAQC of roadway and ROW plans preferred -Experience coordinating with drainage, ROW, utilities, and environmental preferred -Experience producing ROW plans preferred -Professional Engineer licensed in Tennessee, or ability to obtain -Reading and interpreting roadway and ROW plans preferred -BSCE degree or equivalent -Experience developing plans for purpose of acquiring ROW for a DOT, and for TDOT preferred -Requires good oral and written communication skills and presentation skills. Must be able to write clearly and prepare reports & correspondence. -Microsoft office, GIS Mapping, read roadway construction plans, deeds, plats
