Overview
Conduct pipe stress analysis with AutoPipe for Sentinel nuclear deterrent program.

Tasks
-Analyzes and reports on the suitability of unconventional materials, techniques, and/or difficult coordination requirements. -Essential duties include performing pipe stress analysis of systems in accordance with ASME B31.3 Code. -Evaluates, selects, and applies standard plant design and piping engineering methods, techniques, procedures, and criteria, using independent judgment in making adaptations and modifications . -Coordinates plant design engineering efforts in assigned areas with specialty groups, engineering disciplines, the client, vendor, contractors, construction, and other functional groups. -Analyzes problems with conflicting design requirements, sketches ideas and possible solutions . -Work closely with layout personnel and pipe support engineers to deliver a quality and cost-effective design. Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and vendors as required. -The stress work includes the modeling of the piping systems to verify piping flexibility, stability, and qualification of equipment nozzle loads. -Participates in reviews and recommends approval of design drawings and data for compliance with requirements .

What You Bring
-Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check which includes verification of employment, education, and travel. -Must be a US citizen. -Working knowledge of dynamic analysis and ASME B31.3 or B31.1 Codes. -Previous Bechtel and/or DOD/DOE project experience preferred. -IT certification or PE registration preferred. -Grade 26: Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience. -Grade 25: Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience. -Prior experience using pipe stress analysis program Bentley AutoPipe.
