The Role
Overview
Perform carpentry tasks, install structures, and ensure site safety on construction projects.

Tasks
-Estimate, inventory, monitor, and request time, staff, materials, and equipment needed to complete work. -Install structures and fixtures including but not limited to windows, frames, floorings, trim, and hardware. -Shape or cut materials to specified measurements. -Erect scaffolding and ladders, as needed. -Comply with written safety instructions from tool and equipment manufacturers. -Review jobsite needs with superintendents and foremen, and coordinates construction. -Complete rough carpentry work, site logistical work, fencing, deck and platform building, protection systems, construction waste areas, and jobsite cleanup. -Operate equipment such as forklifts, backhoe, skid steer, excavator, compactor, and construction hoist. -Assist with the overall site safety and quality programs as required (including daily participation in Pre-Task Plans) and ensure Trade employees/subcontractors compliance with Turner standards and all applicable safety codes, regulations, and jobsite security. -Maintain positive working relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers and other employees. -Inspect all tools and power tools before use to ensure they are in safe and working condition.

What You Bring
-Able to understand and interpret project drawings. -Basic arithmetic, basic geometry, and their applications to carpentry. -Knowledge of machines and tools, including uses, repair, and maintenance associated with carpentry and woodworking. -Basic knowledge of construction surveying. -Ability to travel and accommodate night and weekend work as needed. -Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in construction carpentry. -Comprehend safety instructions and signage. -Valid driver’s license preferred. -Clear communication skills, especially in emergency situations. -Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. -Knowledge of foundations and framing of buildings or other structures. -Minimum of three (3) years of carpentry experience required. -Ability to accommodate night and weekend work as needed. -Display a high level of teamwork, integrity, commitment, and leadership in daily operations.
