Overview

Plan, staff, and budget expediting ops, manage suppliers, ensure timely material delivery.

Tasks

-Distributes workload to assigned project expeditors according to the experience and ability of the expeditor, the degree of complexity of the work and the urgency of the need for action -Contacts suppliers to obtain timely submission of engineering data, and to follow-up on material acquisition, production progress and shipment -Evaluates production schedules and progress reports from suppliers to determine if suppliers’ programs and work progress meet jobsite requirements -Participates in the planning, staffing, and budgeting of project and area expediting operations for medium sized projects -Expedites Bechtel engineering for the timely review, approval, and return of engineering data submitted by suppliers -Participates in pre- and post-award meetings to review and discuss schedules and potential problem areas that may impact required shipment dates -Coordinates shipping arrangements or tracking requests with the project Logistics representative -Represents Expediting at project team meetings

What You Bring

-Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience -Seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of area of specialization, resolves a wide range of complex issues in creative and effective ways -Prior experience with Project set-up and/or project expediting in an EPC environment is preferred -Prior experience in an expediting role or performing post-award administration of engineered equipment purchase orders is preferred.
