The Role

Overview

Assist owner in managing healthcare construction projects in Southern California.

Tasks

-Ensure contractor, architect, and engineer, adhere to contractual requirements on areas of safety, performance, project staff, and equipment. -Collaborate with IOR and HCAI field officials. -Assist in providing management of project logistics, organization, safety, and work force utilization. -Coordinate, direct, and monitor activities of the contractors, subcontractors, engineers, architects, and related performing entities. -Responsible for onsite quality assurance of contractor work. -Conduct project meetings and provide documentation, administration, and tracking of relevant information. -Ensure project closeout to obtain guarantees, warranties, and related provisions for final project delivery to the owner. -Assist in managing the design process with the client and designers. -Assist in managing project controls, cost, schedule, performance activities, and procedures required by the client. -Act as an Owners Representative with direct client facing responsibilities.

What You Bring

-Strong knowledge of contracts, drawings, estimates, and specifications to ensure relation and compliance to project requirements. -3 or more years of Industry experience in a Healthcare Construction Environment in California (HCAI) is required. -Knowledge of scheduling database tools such as Primavera P6 or Procore is preferred. -Proficient use of the Microsoft Suite of tools is required. -Experience with new ground up healthcare facility projects is preferred. -Strong collaboration, conflict resolution and team building skills are required and essential. -Ability to read and comprehend technical drawings and blueprints is required. -Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline is preferred. -Advanced knowledge and application of project development, design-phase management, construction estimating, cost, project controls/scheduling, documentation, engineering/construction principles, contracts and delivery methods are required. -CCM credential preferred by not required. -Experience working in the occupied space of an active hospital and directly with its Stakeholders end users (Physicians, Staff and Facilities) is strongly preferred. -Knowledge of design requirements, architecturally significant medical equipment, and industry practices specific to the Healthcare (HCAI) sector in California is required.
