Assist in New Employee Orientation (NEO) to support the safe and successful onboarding of new employees.
Investigate all incidents and contribute feedback when necessary.
In collaboration with the EHS Manager, develop and maintain written safety programs and procedures to ensure OSHA compliance and VPP certification or recertification, track and analyze data on incidents and safety observations and use this data to suggest changes to improve safety performance, and develop and provide safety training to all associates on site.
Maintain all necessary data collection to support environmental reporting and planning, evaluate new product requests for environmental concerns of all sites, monitor site specific environmental compliance and implement, conduct or direct corrective action when needed. Other environmental activities as required.
Coordinate with appropriate Marvin departments the vendor supported inspections of fire prevention, protection and evacuation alarm systems and manage the compliance documentation.
Accountability measures include: OSHA incident rate, reduce employee turnover rate, % on time of delivery, continue to reduce Marvin's operational costs.
Maintain working knowledge of applicable environmental regulations of EPA, ISO 14001 and state agencies, provide to the EH&S manager data needed for all periodic environmental reports (Tier II, Tank Registration, etc.), suggest changes to the EHS Manager for plans, permits, manuals and other documents as necessary.
Manage the site-specific internal safety inspections including, but not limited to, fire extinguishers, fire protection valves, ladders, diesel fuel unloading, machines, tools, equipment, etc., and maintain all audit records.
Maintain involvement with governmental/professional organizations such as VPP, OSHA, NIOSH, NRC, ASSE, NFPA, the National Safety Council and Corporate Insurance Provider. Facilitate site specific OSHA, VPP, employee health and wellness, ergonomics, and other training needs and improvement programs.
Gather, develop and submit to the EHS Manager all required data for the OSHA Programs annual report, complete special projects related to Workforce Safety programs/audits, state safety projects and other safety projects as necessary, ensure corporate policies/practices are current, compliant and administered regarding federal, state and local regulations and company requirements.
Assist in the support of local and yard drivers in support of Marvin Transportation Safety and Compliance.
Review and report to the EHS Manager corporate policies/practices that are not current or compliant. Administer current and compliant federal, state and local regulations and company requirements.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have working knowledge in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) and the ability to learn proprietary software

First Aid and CPR/AED
The following courses/certifications/trainings are all strongly preferred:
Ability to travel up to 10% of year
Minimum of one-year experience in environmental compliance role is preferred
Environmental and Safety courses/education/certification is strongly preferred
