Tasks
Maintain accurate records and update planning sheets to reflect current and upcoming works. Ensure all works are compliant with environmental regulations and internal standards. Monitor and close out landscape and ecology-related defects in a timely manner. Assist with ordering materials, equipment, and services required for L&E operations. Egis Road Operations M40 Ltd are looking for a Lead Scheduler who will support the Landscape & Ecology Manager in the day-to-day coordination of the L&E team. This role involves planning and programming ecological and landscaping works, preparing briefing packs, managing defect close-outs, and supporting procurement and operational delivery. This role ensures that planned works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards, while minimising disruption to traffic. Liaise with internal departments, subcontractors, and third-party stakeholders to ensure works are delivered efficiently and safely. Create and distribute briefing packs for on-site teams, ensuring clarity and compliance with scoping documents & the contract. Foster a collaborative and positive working environment across the team and wider organisation. Support the daily running of the L&E team, including scheduling, resource coordination, and communication. Provide timely updates and feedback to the Landscape & Ecology Manager and contribute to monthly reporting. Carry out other related duties as required to support the successful delivery of L&E objectives.

What You Bring
Ability to make informed decisions under pressure and adapt to changing priorities. Experience in landscape, ecology, or environmental works (preferred but not essential). Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and planning software. *Please note, to be considered for this role, you must be based in the UK and must already be able to legally work in the UK. We are unable to offer or provide sponsorship for this position Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience in scheduling or coordinating Willingness to undertake internal training, including road space booking and environmental systems.
