The Role
Overview
Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel & CNG trucks, mentor staff, and ensure safety compliance.

Tasks
-Ensure safe working conditions and compliance with all safety regulations. -Communicate effectively across various levels of the organization and communicate with customers and external vendors. -Independently lead inspections of brake systems, all engine components, emission systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings and other important parts to ensure they are in proper operating condition. -Perform DOT and brake inspections on all vehicles. -Maintain a clean work area. -Complete reports, work orders, order parts and perform other administrative duties as required daily. -Oversee the review of mechanical write-ups on equipment and coordinate repair schedule. -Prioritize repairs to maximize efficiency and timely completion of work orders. -Provide guidance and mentorship to level B and C mechanics.

What You Bring
-Ability to use a computer and related devices, such as a keyboard or mouse or other related equipment, throughout the workday while seated at a desk or workstation. -Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals. -Understand and interpret intricate electrical and diagnostics schematics. -Ability to understand and interpret detailed schematics and manuals. -Visual requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. -Ability to operate trucks and other equipment used as needed. -Experience using diagnostic software. Must be computer literate and willing and able to be trained in software systems. -Continuous concentrated mental and visual attention required. -Advanced ability to diagnose and repair both Diesel and CNG powered trucks, including engines, electrical systems, propane systems, hydraulics, and fuel systems. -Ability to climb ladders, bend or stand for long periods of time. -Ability to stand, sit, walk, use hands and fingers, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, climb, balance. -Ability to reach above shoulders and lift to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds. -Knowledge of DOT, OSHA and other related state and federal regulations. -Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) preferred, or the willingness and ability to obtain one within six (6) months of employment.
