-Identifies and resolves advanced non-compliant existing conditions during site walks and construction field surveys. -Develops advanced internal mechanical design and engineering training presentations. -Provides oversight and technical leadership to other offices and related functions such as Business Development, Technical Advancement and Vertical Markets. -Coordinates with internal and external parties, manages multiple complex tasks, establishes priorities and directs the work of others. -Provides mentorship to less experienced Mechanical Engineers and/or Designers. -Attends external seminars/conferences for professional development. -Conducts technical and leadership interviews. -Directs and manages the workflows and execution of design and engineering support staff (Entry-Level to Senior) to meet client expectations and project goals. -Develops narratives, reports and construction drawing packages and writes construction specifications on advanced and complex projects without oversight. -Conducts quality checking of documents for advanced complex projects (e.g., technical verification of design calculations and documentation) and drives overall project quality. -Leads advanced project system design programming and master planning with minimal or no support from Senior Engineer. -Works with a Project Manager on proposal development, design task identification, man-hour planning and project scheduling for the discipline scope of work on advanced level projects. -Leads a team of mechanical staff in the execution of advanced projects discipline design and engineering. -Provides industry-level perspective and guidance to frame business strategy in the face of evolving technology or client buying behavior -Provides lead and advanced support of construction activities such as RFI responses, submittal reviews, punch list development and construction progress reports.
-Minimum of 15 years of experience for Senior Lead position -LEED, WELL or other sustainable design accredited professional or, experience with sustainable design -Advanced experience using and applying applicable industry standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, ISPE, FDA, ISO, NFPA, OSHA, etc.) -ABET-accredited Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering (with a mehanical focus) -Proficient with advanced coordination with construction trade partners, vendors and manufacturers -Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite -Proficiency in Revit -Advanced experience conducting and leading field surveys of existing conditions and support of field reporting -Advanced knowledge of cGMPs and/or experience with advanced technology industry projects such as R&D labs, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, and/or consumer products -Advanced experience with troubleshooting issues with mechanical systems -Life Sciences (Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Laboratory) or Food & Beverage industry experience -Expert experience with performing engineering calculations, and developing and implementing HVAC, mechanical utility and piping systems designs -Advanced experience with using and applying the mechanical/plumbing/fire/building codes -Professional Engineer registration in good standing -Minimum of 20 years of experience for SME position -Proficient with advanced internal and external cross-discipline project team coordination
