Tasks

-To provide portfolio and group level leadership to the all Business divisions of ES-Americas and lead highly qualified 450+ engineers (Globally this is a $8B Business Group) and growing aggresively. -Expand capabilities for shaping the RD&E portfolio for these divisions to drive organic growth through New Products & Technology Introduction. This includes shaping the future RD&E portfolio, leverage synergies across the divisions, building capability roadmap, developing /hiring for organizational capability and capacity and driving engineering excellence to execute the RD&E portfolio. -Provides leadership for diverse product teams from multiple locations to meet its short and long-term goals. -Define VA road map for division conducting IP landscape, tear down events and competitor benchmarking. Lead innovation events to shape ideas from the team. -Manages complex programs (Cost, schedule and Time) for divisions key programs . -Develops high performance teams in terms of breadth and depth of capabilities in electrical, software and mechanical design as well as adjacent technology areas in product engineering. -Create and execute 3- 5 year capability roadmaps for the teams in line with division strategic technology and product roadmaps . -Builds leadership succession for the group as well as broader electrical product groups. -As the engineering leader for ES Americas our center in India, you will manage a diverse team of talented Scrum Masters, Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics engineers, and more. -Builds relationships outside of engineering teams to understand, influence, and serve as their advocate. -Mentor and coaches Leaders and technical leaders to prepare for future leadership roles. -Leads operations reviews with key engineering directors, accountable to manage department budget and performance to forecast. -Define clear plan to leverage EIIC Lab and Prototype infrastructure to accelerate launches of key NPI/VA programs for division. . -Leverages data to create new insights and make better decisions. -Shape RD&E Portfolio with increased level of maturity including the NTI transition and NPI launches. -Shape digitization technology proposals working with CoEs and product line teams. -Drive Cross Functional engagement driving value and component engineering, factory support including engineered to order solution support and customer sustenance engineering. -Partnering with Global Americas team to build strategy around future road map of ESA team. Critical to the success of this role is the candidate’s ability to understand the products and services of Eaton. -Synergize and leverage engineering capabilities across groups -Fosters an environment where employees feel empowered to experiment, innovate, and make decisions. -Drive the energy transition agenda for Eaton - distributed and microgrid architectures. -Drive DFx & Agile concepts / tools for new product development &/or existing product improvements for the divisions’ product portfolio to meet all requirements for performance, reliability, cost and manufacturability. -You will lead the team by setting priorities and goals, ensuring the achievement of deliverables and other milestones, collaborate with other engineering and product teams in the company, establish a progressive work culture, and improve the way we deliver value to our customers.

What You Bring

-Prior experience as organizational leader for a minimum of 5 to 10 years in globally distributed teams -Ability to manage multiple projects and resolve issues that impact deadlines; ability to make decisions quickly under conflicting constraints, moving rapidly to meet the demands of a fast-growing company. -Action oriented – enjoys working hard; is action oriented and full of energy for the things he/she sees as challenging. -You have strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to handle multiple concurrent projects and tasks while adapting quickly to changing priorities. -Strong leadership potential and be in a succession role. Empathizes and actively learns about customer’s needs and how they create value. -Interpersonal savvy – relates well to all kinds of people; builds appropriate rapport. -Strong organizational leadership skills. -Intellectual horsepower – is intelligent; deal with concepts and complexity comfortably; described as intellectually capable, and agile. -Preferred - Master’s Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering from an accredited institution. -15 +years of design experience multinational engineering organization. -You thrive in a growth-oriented organization. -Having end product development and launch experience and product life cycle management experience preferably in the electrical circuit protection, industrial automation components e.g beakers, variable frequency drives. -Demonstrated experience in building organizational capabilities around technology; developments high performing talent and builds succession depth. -Ability to translate business requirements into real time execution and ensuring that concepts get fully executed into product offerings that achieve a defined business outcome. -Proven track record of demonstrating competencies to manage a large and diverse team. -You are passionate empathetic to customer needs, growing people and the organization. -Innovation Leadership - effective in cultivating creative ideas of others, demonstrates good judgment around creative ideas and which suggestions will work, has a sense about managing the creative process of others, can facilitate effective brainstorming, can project how potential ideas may play out in the marketplace. -Should have sound knowledge in Electrical products for controls and automation and circuit protection -Creativity - comes up with many new and unique ideas, easily makes connections among previously unrelated notions, tends to be seen as original and value-added in brainstorming settings. -Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering from an accredited institution required. -You are driven, team-oriented, with vision and an energizing leadership style to strategic influence and drive change. -Results-oriented and demonstrated record of developing initiatives that impact productivity. -Proactive and solutions-oriented with experience working in ambiguity. -Process Management - Good at figuring out the processes necessary to get things done, knows how to organize people and activities, Knows what to measure and how to measure it, Can simplify complex processes, Gets more out of fewer resources -Strategic Agility – sees ahead clearly; can anticipate future consequences and trends accurately, has broad knowledge and perspective; can create competitive and breakthrough strategies & plans. -Managerial courage – holds transparent and meaningful conversations; provides direct, complete, “actionable”, constructive, and corrective feedback to others. -Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate and interact with a variety of internal/external customers and/or co-workers. -Experience leading organizations with at least 40 members -You can connect with your team on a technological level and have an excellent foundation in Electrical/electronics domain. -Peer relationships – can quickly find common ground and solve problems for the good of all; can represent his/her own interests and yet be fair to other groups. -Problem Solving - uses digital technology and processes to solve difficult problems with effective solutions, probes all suitable sources for answers, can see hidden problems, is excellent at unbiased analysis, looks beyond the obvious and doesn't stop at the first answers. -As a successful candidate for this role will have had significant prior organizational leadership experience. -Extensive experience in hiring talented people for diverse, productive development teams. -Drive growth in respective team in terms of breadth and depth of capabilities in Electrical and mechanical design as well as adjacent technology areas in product engineering. Strong background in DFSS with GB/BB certification -Business acumen – knows how business work; knowledgeable in current and possible future technologies; knows the competition.
