Overview

Perform traffic impact studies, operations analyses, and design tasks as an entry-level engineer.

Tasks

-Maintenance of traffic -Occasionally visit work sites, monitoring project progress and reporting findings. -Stay up to date on transportation engineering guidelines, standards, and regulations to ensure compliance in project designs. -Assist in the preparation of traffic engineering designs and plans for transportation projects. -Occasional travel may be required.

What You Bring

-Ability to analyze situations and identify ways to improve efficiency. -Ability to identify project issues and facilitate resolution. -Preferred: EIT Certification -Required: Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Civil Engineering. -Ability to work independently and collaboratively in team settings. -Ability to work in a team setting collaboratively with group of other traffic and transportation/civil engineers. -Preferred: Experience with Travel Demand Modeling Software (TransCAD, CUBE), ArcGIS, SignCAD. -Ability to meet all safety requirements if/when visiting a work site. -Required: 1-3 years’ experience. -Pavement markings and signage -Ability to react quickly and calmly to high-pressure situations. -Required: Knowledge of the Highway Capacity Manual and Congestion Management Guidelines. -Required: Experience with Synchro/SimTraffic, HCS, SIDRA, TransModeler, VISSIM,
