The Role

Overview

Lead all hotel operations, financial performance, guest satisfaction and staff management.

Tasks

-Assist staff with their job functions to ensure optimum service to guests. -Develop accurate and aggressive long and short-range financial objectives consistent with property objectives. -Establishes, maintains, and trains standards and procedures for cleaning and safe working conditions in all departments. -Works to ensure high scores for customer service, cleanliness and other related items on all Shaner and Franchise inspections. -Ensure that all Shaner and franchise operating standards are followed. -Focus on achievement of hotel financial goals / budget targets. -Handle guest complaints ensuring guest satisfaction. -Ensure that payroll and purchasing controls are in place to maintain and exceed profit goals. -Leads all aspects of employee performance to ensure productivity and a quality work environment.

What You Bring

-High school graduate or equivalent; college degree in hospitality management or business and/or CHA designation preferred. -Minimum of five years of progressive leadership experience in the hospitality industry. -Be accessible to guests and employees. -Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts. -Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. -Working knowledge of all hotel departments. -Bilingual English/Spanish a plus. -Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management and co-workers to their understanding. -Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. -Knowledgeable of the property management system. -Knowledge of budget preparation and cost controls. -Maintain complete knowledge of hotel features, room types, rates, room availability, and expected arrivals/departures. -Ability to apply good judgment to carry out instructions. -Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for clientele. -Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
