Overview

Set up and operate manufacturing machinery on night shift, handling tools, safety, and documentation.

Tasks

-Push/Pull more than 40 pounds on an occasional basis with assistance -Inspect all work for defects prior to passing it on to the next operation -Disposed of hazardous chemicals properly -Contribute to team effort by training others in performance of machine operator tasks as needed -Document actions by completing production and quality forms -Two-person tasks using assistive devices for lifting, pulling and pushing including engine stands hand trucks, pallet jacks, and hoists -Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations -Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results -Set up and operate machinery using hand tools as necessary

-Bending/stooping – frequent -Squatting/kneeling – frequent -Ideally has 6+ months of experience working in a manufacturing environment -Push/Pull up to 40 pounds on a frequent basis -Work is classified as Medium - Heavy Physical Demand Level (PDL) by the US Dept of Labor's Dictionary of Occupational Titles -Variable hand/power tool use – frequent -Griping, manipulation, fingering –continuous -Standing – continuous -Must have ability to operate a variety of machinery -Carry up to 40 pounds on an occasional basis up to 25 feet -Lifting – frequent -Frequencies - Occasional (1-33%); Frequent (34-66%); Continuous (67-100%) -Has a High School diploma, GED or combination of work experience and skill development -Walking – continuous -Lift up to 75 pounds on an occasional basis floor to waist with assistance -Lift up to 40 pounds on a frequent basis floor to waist -Must be able to read and interpret work instructions and effectively communicate with supervisor regarding manufacturing processes -Is able to safely use small hand and power tools
