Lead mechanical ops, maintenance, energy mgmt, and staff for large facility

Tasks
-Provide budgetary estimates for project work on small projects to mid-level construction projects. -Coordinate maintenance efforts with outside contractors, tenant finish personnel and technicians. Lead all aspects of building systems including fire/life safety, plumbing, HVAC and electrical issues and must remain current with the latest HVAC technology trends. -Oversight and mechanical engineering support for utility plant systems including steam, chilled water, compressed air, utilities provided throughout the campus, and rainwater harvesting for reduction of city water usage in the cooling towers. -Maintain ongoing communication with tenants, clients, owners, facility management team and vendors. -Lead technical staff, including hiring, training, personnel development. (Approx. 9 direct reports) -Identify high priority deficit areas and bring to Facilities Engineering management attention for review and consideration of correction and/or solution implementation. -Perform small scale project management on a wide range of site projects at Facilities Engineering request. -Recommend/ implement improvements for preventive maintenance programs on an ongoing basis and develop/maintain effective building-specific maintenance and safety procedure manuals.

What You Bring
-Previous People management -Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to forecast and prepare budgets. Conducts financial/business analysis including the preparation of reports. -Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university and a minimum of four years' experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge and understanding of all applicable practices and techniques, laws, project controls and environmental regulations to include safety laws. -Universal EPA/ CFC certification preferred. Certification / license in two or more of the following is desired, and certain certifications may be required by local / state jurisdiction: electrical, mechanical, HVAC and refrigeration systems, boiler, plumbing. Facilities Management certification is desired -Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and intranet/internet. Ability to use work order system. -Ability to respond effectively to the most critical issues, write reports, manuals, speeches and articles using distinctive style to present complex topics to employees, clients, top management and/or public groups. -Ability to address advanced problems and take care of a variety of options in complex situations. Requires expert level analytical and quantitative skills with shown experience in developing strategic solutions for a growing matrix-based multi-industry sales environment.
