The Role
Overview
Design, develop, test, and maintain Siemens PLC/HMI automation systems for industrial applications.

Tasks
-Reviewing / checking of documents SLD, Electrical enclosure GA Layout, Electrical schematic etc. -Handling Projects documents database -Creates and modifies HMI/SCADA programs for our production. -Participate in review meetings of engineering deliverable. -Create and maintain technical manuals, operation manuals, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). -Provide technical support to maintenance teams and operators during normal production as well as in emergencies. -Confer with engineering staff to resolve problems. -Designs engineering systems for the automation of industrial tasks. -Creates and modifies programs for Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Human Machine Interface (HMI), Variable Frequency Drive (VFD), and motor control devices. -Promotes and adheres to safety, and Good Manufacturing Practices regulations. -Identifies and selects materials appropriate for automation system designs. -Creates and modifies Siemens programmable logic controller (PLC) programs for our various ASU, LNG and packaged applications. -Maintains technical project files. -Responsible for making key decisions about system design, upgrades, or changes to ensure that projects align with overall company goals and budgetary constraints. -Functional testing of electrical equipment and Instruments to minimize commissioning time on site. -Inspects components of industrial equipment for accurate assembly and installation including review of schematics, manuals, or other specifications. -Provide technical support to installation and commissioning teams, addressing design-related queries and resolving technical issues during project execution. -Works continuously to improve existing systems and new projects. -Engage with project teams, clients, and third-party consultants to communicate design intent and technical requirements. -Use and maintain electrical related software programs. -Troubleshoots equipment problems. -Installs repaired equipment in various settings. -Ensure the accuracy and consistency of project documentation, and approve changes or updates as needed. -An experienced automation engineer may be tasked with leading a team of other engineers, technicians, or operators on a specific automation project. This includes setting project goals, timelines, and deliverables, as well as ensuring the team is properly executing tasks according to the plan. -Tests faulty equipment to diagnose malfunctions using test equipment or software and applying knowledge of the functional operation of electronic equipment and systems. -Research selects, or applies the following: sensors, vision systems, communication technologies, control devices for motion control, position sensing, and pressure sensing. -Analyze existing development or manufacturing procedures and suggest improvements. -Maintain detailed back-up of all control related programs. -Coordinate for correcting, preventing, or reducing undesired effects. -Reviewing / Checking Datasheet for components placed on the system as per project specifications.

What You Bring
-Proficiency in Siemens Automation System, must have hand on Experience in Siemens -Authority to request information, resources, and support from other departments to facilitate design accuracy and project success. -Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related field. -Works effectively, efficiently, and positively with minimal supervision. -Minimum of 4 years of experience in Industrial Automation Field -Strong understanding of electrical control systems, including sensor integration, motor -Experience with VFDs and DCS is a plus. -Communicates design information and works effectively as a team with manufacturing personnel. -Expertise in PLC/SCADA programming (Siemens, Allen Bradley, etc.) -Attends industry related training. -Authority to make on-site decisions regarding design adjustments to accommodate real-world challenges and constraints, within agreed project parameters. -Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. -HMI knowledge: object type, screen layouts, animation, alarms, scripting -Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnostics of PLC and automation systems. -Excellent communication and coordination skills, with experience working in a crossfunctional, global environment. -Documentation (Instruction, rung, section). -Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines. -Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. -Familiarity with HMI/SCADA systems, as well as communication protocols like Modbus, -Authority to develop, approve, and release engineering documents and technical documents. -Following Siemens software expertise (TIA Portal, WinCC Explorer, Simatic manager, Starter, Siemens PLC/HMI/VFD communication, simulation and testing softwares etc..
