Tasks

-Review of technical submissions from designers and contractors relating to civil & structural design works. -Supervision and management of the customer’s designers and contractors in the delivery of terminal buildings civil and structures design. -Coordinate civil & structural design with other project disciplines, review project design criteria, vendor submissions, construction inspection records and test reports. -Support to Construction & Quality delivery teams during the execution of the works relating to terminal buildings civil & structural works, including resolution of requests for information, field change requests, non-conformance reports and work inspection requests. -Supports the creation of a work environment that fosters openness, trust, communication, teamwork, empowerment, innovation, and satisfaction. -Coordinate civil and structural design integration across numerous contracts, work packages and stakeholders. -Support the undertaking of vendor off-site and on-site inspections for civil & structural works. -Undertake audits, reports and present findings of designer, contractor, stakeholder and project team application and adherence to engineering processes and policies. -Monitoring & reporting on the progress and performance of the customer’s designers and contractors. -Support the production of verification packages to facilitate turnover of completed civil and structural works. -Support to Contracts & Procurement in the delivery of design to support procurement and post tender technical evaluation and award recommendations. -Coordination with the Stakeholder Management team to ensure that all required permits and approvals are achieved in a timely manner throughout the Project life cycle. -Liaison with customer representatives as the subject matter expert and accountable person for delivery of civil & structural engineering documentation, including presentations and reporting as required.

What You Bring

-Has the ability to work within a culturally diverse organization, recognizing and respecting differences. -Possesses working knowledge and production ability with computer-aided drafting software, such as AutoCAD and Revit. -Experience reviewing, updating, and preparing Structural Specifications, Design Manuals, Design Criteria, and Drawing Standards. -Experience providing technical support to Construction Department and disposition of queries and review of submittals. -2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience -Experience performing Value Engineering, Constructability Reviews, Safety Reviews, and O&M Reviews. -Experience with the use and thorough knowledge of International Design Codes/Standards/Specifications, particularly ACI, AISC, ASCE, and PCI. -Holds a BS in Civil/Structural Engineering from an accredited college or university. -Is a self-motivated individual with good leadership skills and the ability to influence without being authoritative. -Experience with current computer-aided structural engineering and design software, such as STAAD.Pro, STAAD.Foundation Advanced, ETABS, SAFE, and SAP2000. -Possesses a working knowledge of BIM processes, including experience designing projects in BIM platforms, particularly Revit and Navisworks. -Demonstrated ability to make critical decisions quickly. -Experience coordinating structural engineering to civil and geotechnical engineering, other engineering disciplines, and architecture. -Maintains or working towards a Registration or Charter as a Professional Structural Engineer (i.e., Registered Structural Engineer, MIStructE, or similar).
