You will act as the primary maintenance interface during shutdown preparation and execution, working closely with onshore and offshore teams, technical authorities, and shutdown leadership to ensure full readiness, compliance, and delivery of critical maintenance scopes.

This role is central to delivering safe, efficient, and technically robust shutdowns in accordance with CEU-OPS-GEN-STA-0017, ensuring all maintenance, verification, and critical scopes are fully prepared, planned, and executed to the highest standards.

  • Coordinate updates to the Critical Equipment Register, ensuring relevant scopes are included in shutdown activities.
  • Support PSSR coordination and ensure understanding and adherence to reinstatement processes.
  • Work with EA3s and Technical Authorities to close out and approve Technical Queries.
  • Maintain close communication with the Maintenance Lead, Maintenance Supervisor, Lead Technicians, and Shutdown Delivery Lead.
  • Support weekly shutdown meetings, providing accurate progress and readiness updates.
  • Collaborate with the Materials Focal Point to verify material availability for all shutdown scopes.
  • Lead pre-shutdown offshore visits to confirm full readiness and highlight risks or gaps.
  • Coordinate permit preparation and presentation for shutdown activities.
  • Develop ESD testing and blowdown trial strategies in partnership with Shutdown Operations Focal Point, securing ICP alignment on shutdown verification tasks.
  • Oversee the creation of annual ESD testing packs with cross-discipline support.
  • Liaise with the REP to coordinate electrical isolation strategies.
  • Provide regular shutdown updates across all shifts and ensure visibility through consistent offshore presence.
  • Manage maintenance team rota for key shutdown periods.
  • Champion Safety Critical Work execution and prepare deferrals for any scope not completed during shutdown.
  • Ensure compliance with all technical, maintenance standards, and specifications.
  • Support the Onshore Maintenance Lead in reviewing maintenance backlog and incorporating key scopes into the shutdown plan.
  • Review and approve all Maintenance Workpacks.
  • Ensure all maintenance SAP Work Orders are fully detailed, accurate, and execution-ready ahead of shutdown.
  • Work closely with Job Responsible Engineers to ensure all work scopes meet Work Management Process requirements.

Technical Skills

We are seeking an experienced and driven Offshore Shutdown Maintenance Focal Point to play a pivotal role in the planning, coordination, and safe execution of shutdown maintenance activities across the Morecambe Hub CPP Offshore Asset.

  • Decisive leader with high standards and a strong performance focus.
  • Degree or equivalent industry experience.
  • Strong maintenance discipline competence specific to offshore assets (Morecambe Hub experience advantageous).
  • Excellent communicator capable of influencing and fostering collaboration.
  • Strong track record of cross-discipline communication and teamwork.
  • Significant industry experience in similar roles involving shutdowns in offshore operations.
  • Proven capability in safe, efficient shutdown execution and risk assessment (ALARP understanding required).
  • Calm, proactive approach in complex, ambiguous situations.
  • Demonstrated cross-discipline leadership capability.
  • Experience in plant reinstatement processes, completions systems, and PSSRs.
  • Proficient user of Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint; SAP awareness essential.
  • Excellent self-management skills with ability to prioritise time-sensitive workload.
  • Effective change leader with strong relationship-building skills across all levels.
