Design Technology Manager

Tasks

-Partner with IT, operations, and practice leaders to ensure technology supports business needs and design innovation -Serve as a liaison between design staff and technical support (both internal and external) to proactively resolve issues and improve processes -Champion the adoption of best practices, innovation, and continuous improvement in digital design -Work closely with leaders across disciplines to understand project needs and implement solutions that improve workflows -Drive consistency in project delivery by ensuring adherence to established standards while allowing for flexibility in innovation -Collaborate with IT to manage hardware, software, and cloud platforms that support BIM workflows -Oversee the firmwide vision, roadmap, and implementation of design technology platforms, including CAD, BIM, visualization, and rendering tools -Facilitates collaboration between architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants using BIM platforms -Develop and lead training programs, workshops, and mentorship initiatives to elevate staff proficiency with design technology tools -Build a culture of continuous learning and knowledge-sharing across all disciplines -Create and manage a centralized knowledge base of design standards and resources for easy access across teams -Establish and maintain company-wide design technology standards, including model management, detailing practices, drawing/document templates, and quality control protocols -Evaluate emerging tools and workflows, ensuring alignment with project delivery goals and industry best practices -Act as a trusted resource for project teams, guiding complex modeling, rendering, and documentation challenges -Foster collaboration across offices and teams, ensuring technology supports seamless communication and project execution

What You Bring

-A bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or construction science is preferred. Substantial relevant experience and industry certifications may substitute for a degree -Visualization and rendering tools such as Lumion, Enscape , Twinmotion , V-Ray, D5 Render -Autodesk BIM Collaborate Pro, Docs, Construction Cloud -7+ years of experience in a similar role within the A/E industry -Bluebeam Revu/Studio -A solid understanding of the rapidly evolving landscape of AI-assisted conceptualization, modeling, data analytics, and process automation -Ability to conduct effective presentations and quickly solve complex problems -Laser scanning tools and processing, such as Leica, Faro, Matterport -Excellent communication skills, verbal and written -Proficiency in MS Office suite -The full Autodesk AEC Collection of tools as used for both architecture and multi-discipline engineering, including AutoCAD, Revit, Plant 3D, Civil 3D, ReCap , Forma, Navisworks Manage, Infraworks, and Inventor -Geomatics, including geospatial, survey, subsurface, and photogrammetry -Ability to perform work accurately, completely, and in a timely manner -Digital twins, reality capture, 4D/5D modeling, and simulation -Trimble Sketch-Up
