Maintain and troubleshoot industrial electrical/mechanical equipment in manufacturing.
-Collaborate and learn on troubleshooting hydraulics, pneumatics, servo drives, and electrical systems. -Diagnose and troubleshoot injection mold machines, hot oil units, thermolators, dryers, mixers, grinders, overhead cranes, hydraulic systems, electrical controls, lighting systems, and other production equipment. -Perform preventive maintenance, including continuity checks, heater band inspections, and refurbishing PLC cards. -Test and repair industrial electrical and electronic control systems, PLCs, and electronic devices. -Plan and execute work from blueprints, sketches, or verbal instructions. -Ensure safe and efficient operation of machinery and processes. -Identify root causes of equipment issues and implement effective solutions. -Perform routine tasks such as replacing filters, lubricating equipment, and inspecting for leaks or damage. -Fabricate and modify equipment (e.g., conveyors, guards) as needed. -Work with cutting-edge technology in a dynamic manufacturing environment. -Inspect, maintain, install, and repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, feeders, cable assemblies, light fixtures, and related components. -Contribute to efficiency improvements and cost-reduction initiatives.
-Valid Canadian Electrician certification (309A, 442A, or Red Seal). -Mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues in a manufacturing environment -Commitment to safety and continuous learning—successful candidates will complete forklift, scissor lift, crane, and Routsis training. -Hands-on experience with mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. -Knowledge of injection molding equipment is an advantage. -5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment. -Tools, uniforms (with cleaning service), and PPE provided -Ability to work a 12-hour continental shift schedule. -Dual-ticket certification (Industrial Electrician + Industrial Mechanic/Millwright) is a strong asset.
