Accounts Payable Specialist

Overview

Manage invoice processing, vendor payments, and AP record-keeping.

Tasks

-Matching Invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents. Ensuring invoices are coded to the correct general ledger accounts, cost centers and projects -Monitors accounts to ensure payments are up to date by reviewing vendor statements. -Researches and resolves invoice discrepancies and issues by working with purchasing, receiving and other departments to resolve mismatches or issues. -Reviews and verifies invoices and check requisitions, and enters them into ERP system

What You Bring

-At least 3 to 5 years of experience in similar accounting position -Strong PC and systems skills required, proficient in Microsoft Office Suite -Excellent organizational skills -Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software programs -Current and valid US driver’s license preferred -Thorough knowledge of general accounting including thorough skills knowledge plus the application of general accounting theory -Corresponds with vendors and other associates and responds to inquires -Excellent verbal and written communication skills required -Excellent Excel experience and skills required -Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree, or an equivalent combination of education/experience -High attention to detail, self-motivated, and the ability to work independently -Must pass pre-employment background check and drug test
