Tasks

-Check and validate project drawings and those of peers and subordinates. -Design protection schemes for breaker controls, line relaying, bus relaying, and both internal and external station communications. -Handle complex projects with minimum supervision. -Utilize Vault and ProjectWise for project documentation to track design modifications and new designs. -Implement part naming and numbering conventions, and manage file naming and protocols. -Create and modify single line diagrams, three-line diagrams, AC & DC schematics, wiring diagrams, and cable schedules using AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, and MicroStation. -Coordinate with team members from other departments involved in a design project. -Create drawings for projects using the latest standards. -Mentor less experienced designers.

What You Bring

-Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical. -Four plus years of electrical design experience using MicroStation and AutoCAD. -Associate degree in applied science (AAS) in drafting and computer-aided (CAD) design or in civil, electrical, or mechanical engineering technology, or equivalent experience and/or education. -Four plus years of experience designing schematics, wiring diagrams, single line diagrams, and schematics.
