Tasks

-Installs and fastens metal decking for floors, and roofs -Responsible for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) compliance and following OSHA standards -Places structural members under supervision ensuring safe and consistent practices are followed -Adheres to JE Dunn safety standards -Assists in repairing or modifying structural and miscellaneous steel as needed under direction from foremen or project leadership -Handles structural components of buildings including beams, columns and other related items

What You Bring

-Ability to complete assigned duties with minimal guidance -0-2 years commercial construction experience (Preferred) -Ability to build relationships and collaborate within a team, both internally and externally -Knowledge of all welding tools and how they work -Must be comfortable working at projected heights, narrow workspaces, various depths (trenches) -May require use of respirator -Communicates absence or tardiness with supervisor as early as possible -High School Diploma or GED (Preferred) -Ability to perform work accurately and completely, and in a timely manner -0-2 years’ experience in specific trade (Preferred) -Autonomy and Decision-Making: Follows directions and refers all exceptions to supervisor. -Must be able to lift at least to 50 pounds -Occasional activity: Sitting, Viewing Computer Screen -Knowledge of specific trades and scopes of work -Knowledge of all ironworker hand tools, use and own all required hand tools and pouches -Must have reliable transportation -Effective Communication skills, verbal and written -Basic understanding of principles of layout and construction math -In lieu of the above requirements, equivalent relevant experience will be considered. -Frequent activity: Standing, Walking, Climbing, Bending, Kneeling, Carrying, Swinging, Reaching above Shoulder, Pushing, Pulling, Balancing -Ability to provide excellent customer service -Utilizes knowledge of ironworking practices and tools -Apprentice and/or Vocational/Technical/Trade training (Preferred) -Must be willing to work non-traditional hours to meet project needs
