Overview

Inspect construction sites to ensure compliance with codes, specs, and standards.

Tasks

-Performs analytical calculations such as basic earthwork, grading, profiles, and special staking procedures. -Verifies lines and grades of project improvements. -Prepares daily reports documenting inspections and other relevant project information. -Coordinate and perform field testing of materials associated with inspection as required. -Inspects and monitors construction sites and the various work activities on these sites to verify adherence to standards, codes, and specifications. -Implement quantity calculations for pay estimates.

What You Bring

-Communicates verbally and in writing with contractor, owner, and project stakeholders as directed. -Current/valid State Driver's License REQUIRED with acceptable driving record. -Familiarity with use of PC-based computer systems and/or tablet systems. -Minimum 3 years in the field or in trade-related training in a design, construction inspection, construction materials engineering/testing, or other construction related field. -High school diploma or equivalent. -Must be able to read, write, comprehend and speak English fluently. -Construction field materials testing certifications, i.e. Asphalt, concrete, workzone, pavement marking, environmental, etc. -Ability to pass a fingerprint/background check. -Associate degree or equivalent to include courses in related work type. -Attendance, punctuality and reliability are essential requirements. -Knowledge and experience with equipment used in construction inspection, and field testing of construction materials.
