Issue, order, and maintain safety equipment.
Audit and maintain safety records.
Investigate employee complaints concerning unsafe working conditions.
Prepare reports in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Monitor environmental conditions including housekeeping, painting, welding fumes, and hazardous waste.
Respond to workplace safety or security emergencies and issues.
Prepare and maintain records concerning occupational injuries and illnesses.
Transport injured employees to hospital/clinic.
Administer first aid to employees.
Ensure continued adherence of safety rules and procedures.
Audit plant shop areas and contact managers and supervisors to implement actions for the correction of hazardous situations to comply with OSHA, EPA, company and/or DOT regulations.
Monitor work practices and safety equipment.
Arrange for emergency medical treatment of injured employees.

Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish) is strongly preferred.
Predictable, regular attendance is required.

Some knowledge of general office practices.
First Aid/CPR/AED Certified.
Ability to follow directions and interact effectively with plant personnel.
High School diploma or equivalent with 5+ years of related experience
Ability to operate commonly used office equipment, including personal computers and Microsoft applications.
