Engineer III

Overview

Lead scaffold design engineer overseeing complex projects, site inspections, and mentoring staff.

Tasks

-Monitor work schedule to ensure work is completed on time. -Visits construction project sites and carries out inspections as required. -Occasional travel to branch offices to provide engineering support in those locations. -Supervise, co-ordinate and/or conduct complex design/engineering assignments on multiple projects. -Checks, reviews, and approves application drawings. -Provides backup support to senior engineer and engineer manager. -Provides technical support/training for less experienced engineers, trainees and designers. -Works closely with Aluma Systems’ sales representatives on engineering designs, which utilize Aluma products. -Review work for accuracy, completeness and to ensure it meets technical specification as well as company standards.

What You Bring

-Has PE/SE license in multiple jurisdictions. -Able to review/obtain necessary information for all scaffold design projects. -Able to perform and check complex calculations. -7-10 years of experience. -Full knowledge in using appropriate safety factors in scaffold design. -Ability to conduct site inspections of all product lines. -Bachelor's degree in engineering from accredited program, master's degree or equivalent. -Proficient in utilizing advanced CAD & 3D model skills at drafting intermediate complexity projects using Revit. -Ability to approve Engineering calculators. -Advances skills in specific design details. -Full knowledge of regulations and codes. -Ability to train in all areas at an intermediate level. -Skilled in non-linear analysis.
