Plan, design, and manage geotechnical engineering projects, including site investigations and stakeholder coordination.

Tasks
-Preparing cost estimates, proposals, and invoices -Coordinating and cooperate with lab and field departments -Communicating project status, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders effectively -Coordinating with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to procure materials and services -Preparing technical reports and documentation detailing analysis, findings, and recommendations -Coordinating with clients, contractors and regulatory agencies to ensure project requirements, objectives, and constraints are met -Conducting geotechnical site investigations including soil and rock sampling, borehole logging and field testing and present their findings to interdisciplinary teams -Fostering positive relationships with clients and stakeholders to enhance satisfaction and promote future collaborations -Evaluating and analyzing geological and geotechnical conditions to assess risks and opportunities for construction projects -Staying updated on industry trends, technologies, and innovations to enhance project delivery and efficiency -Managing geotechnical aspects of projects, such as project execution, timelines, and milestones including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation -Conducting feasibility studies, risk assessments and implement quality assurance processes to identify potential challenges, develop mitigation strategies and ensuring deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations -Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards

What You Bring
-Mathematical skills sufficient to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. -Experience with geotechnical fieldwork, including soil testing, drilling and instrumentation -This job is primarily and regularly exposed to outside weather conditions and construction sites where the noise level is usually moderate to loud. -Computer skills sufficient to operate a laptop, including sending and receiving emails, and the ability to learn Field Data Collection (FDC)/Inspector Gadget to input data and prepare reports. -Strong knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles, soil mechanics and foundation design -Required to drive, stand, walk, use hands to type, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance, talk, and hear. Body motions and movements include: bending, twisting, reaching, stooping, pulling, kneeling, lifting, carrying, and pushing. -Lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. -This job is in Florida, with exposure to intense sun, intense heat, humidity, rain, thunderstorms, and other adverse weather conditions. -Valid Florida Driver’s License with acceptable driving record (in accordance with our Driver’s License and Motor Vehicle Record Check Criteria) -Strong communication skills, both verbal and written -Excellent project management, communication and problem solving skills. -Professional Engineer (P.E.) license -Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry standards and best practices -Previous experience working on a minimum of two embankment dam construction projects within the last 10 years. -Ability to pass a background check screening -Ability to read & write, including interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, as well as the ability to write routine reports and correspondence, and speak effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and customers/clients. -Reasoning ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram form. -Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or related field
