QUALITY TECHNICIAN

Overview

Conduct QC inspections and tests on concrete products pre/post‑pour and before shipping.

Tasks

-Maintains good housekeeping and always follows safety policies and procedures. -Maintain proper documentation according to PCI & Precast standards. -Inform QC Manager of non-conforming product, equipment, or test results.

What You Bring

-Moderate to high risk of exposure to unusual elements -Must have a solid math aptitude. -Moderate to high risk of safety precautions -Ability to move around for up to 12 hours per day -Work close by and exposed to moving construction vehicles such as forklifts, front-end loaders, cranes, and tractor-trailers -Ability to work from ladders, scaffolding, swing stages and man lifts at various heights frequently -Work close by and exposed to machinery such as welding machines, vibrators, stressing jacks, and concrete mixers -ACI or PCI certified preferred. -Physically able to lift up to 75 lbs, occasionally -Must be able to use a wide variety of tools, including but not limited to lab oven, lab scales, slump cone, air meter, thermometer, tape measure, sieve analysis, and hydrometer. -Must demonstrate a positive work attitude by always collaborating cooperatively with coworkers, supervisors, customers, and vendors. -Ability to function well in a high-paced environment. -Physically able to push, pull, lift, bend, climb, kneel, twist, squat, crawl and use hands/forearms repetitively and frequently -Excellent attention to detail. -Must be computer literate in Microsoft Office. -Moderate to high exposure to production environment -High School diploma or equivalent required. -Ability to work outside year-round -The ability to read, understand, and interpret blueprints, production drawings, measure accurately using a tape measure and certify that finished product is in conformance with project requirements. -Understanding of a manufacturing environment desired. -Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as work boots, hard hats, work gloves, safety glasses, respirators (if required), and hearing protection
