Overview

Ensures construction projects comply with labor laws, prevailing wages & project-specific requirements.

Tasks

-Review and verify payroll records, benefit statements, employer training contributions, apprenticeship paperwork, and other relevant documents to determine compliance with applicable rules and regulations. -Verify subcontractors/vendors compliant status to approve payment. -Monitor and audit certified payroll for internal self-perform and external subcontractors. -Ensure projects are compliant with organizational policies and procedures. -Perform audits on projects and communicate issues or non-compliant items to appropriate parties to resolve. -Participate in third party / Government reviews, audits and inquiries. Compile necessary information/documents and work with appropriate departments and senior labor compliance staff to address issues. -Communicate project specific labor compliance requirements to subcontractors/vendors. -Use LCP Tracker and other compliance software to review and approve certified payroll and payroll documents. -Responsible for labor compliance activities on assigned projects across various markets including identifying labor compliance requirements and project set up. -Coordinate and assist with internal labor compliance training. -Work with subcontractor’s staff to issue requests for missing and revised documentation needed to meet compliance requirements. -Maintain compliance files and databases updated and available. -Create and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders and contractors. -Resolve lower risk grievances with appropriate guidance and supervision. -Travel to job sites for pre-construction meetings, training/education, and relevant activities, as necessary. -Develop risk assessments on Compliance Programs and escalate issues to senior labor compliance team members to assist with identifying appropriate solutions.

What You Bring

-Able to perform all essential Labor Compliance Analyst responsibilities -Proficient written and verbal English communication skills, including business writing skills -Ability and means to travel as needed. -Familiar with LCP Tracker, OCPS, Elations, ecomply, DIR eCPR, other agency portals preferred. -Experience with prevailing wage enforcement, analyzing data, and auditing -Basic understanding of relevant labor codes/laws -Ability to use critical thinking to resolve daily challenges and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines -3+ years of labor compliance experience in the construction industry. -Experience working with Public Works Labor Compliance Programs and/or Project Labor Agreements -Computer proficiency including word processing and spreadsheet applications -General knowledge of employment practices in the construction industry and state labor regulations -Bachelor of Arts/Science Degree in business or related degree desired and/or equivalent working experience.
