The Role

Overview

Structural engineering intern for analysis, design, and inspection of waterfront/bridge projects.

Tasks

-Calculate construction quantity estimates -Develop plans, specifications, and inspection reports as needed -Office construction administration including review of shop drawings and technical submittals -Perform construction site inspections and prepare inspection reports -Work closely with other architects, engineers, scientists, project managers, etc. on multi-discipline projects -Analysis, design, inspection of transportation structures, asset management, and other transportation projects -Help resolve design problems that may include performing field investigation or inspections, detailed design work, and detailed checking of design computations done by others, or general coordination of specific design aspects into a project

What You Bring

-A Master's degree student is preferred -Ability to perform field investigations -Prestressed concrete analysis and design -Any experience in finite element analysis, AutoCAD, or consulting a plus -Structural analysis and design with timber, steel, concrete and composite materials -At least one previous related internship preferred but not required -Working towards an EIT certification -Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or Civil engineering with a Structural Emphasis -All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171 -Must be a rising Junior in your Bachelor's degree program
