Tasks

-Supporting environmental incident response and ensuring timely reporting. -Managing resource consent compliance for dams, treatment plants, and network assets. -Supporting environmental enhancement and improvement initiatives across Watercare. -Coordinating environmental monitoring programmes and producing regulatory reports. -Investigating and resolving non-compliances, including developing practical mitigation measures. -Contributing to environmental data management, trend analysis, and ISO 14001 quality systems. -Providing scientific advice across the business to improve environmental performance.

What You Bring

-The ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. -Confidence communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders. -A Bachelor (Honours) degree or higher in Environmental Science or a related discipline. -Experience within the water or wastewater industry and compliance. -Familiarity with ISO 14001 environmental management systems. -Strong organisational and analytical skills with attention to detail. -At least three years’ experience in environmental science or management. -Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with environmental data analysis.
