Tasks

-Actively participates with professional and community-focused organizations to grow relationships and introduce/educate potential clients towards the Architecture/Building Engineering Practice at Michael Baker International. -Create and manage near and long-term goals for programs in which the candidate is engaged. -Actively engage in robust, consistent communication with key existing clients/programs to determine needs, preferences, and future program opportunities. -Facilitates inter-office/inter-disciplinary collaboration, communication, and cooperation. -Encourages uniformly high design and production standards and monitors projects to ensure that quality and production standards are met for all design and contract documents. -Coordinate throughout the IDA Vertical, leveraging the strength and diverse array of talents of our organization to effectively meet our client’s needs. -Routinely assess our program strengths and identify areas for improvement. Continually monitor program risks and strive to address and mitigate. -Build rapport and establish positive relationships with existing and prospective clients to ensure client-focused performance. -Lead and manage programs to ensure projects are delivered with excellence and quality to Client and Michael Baker standards. -Direct and coordinate activities of multi-disciplinary teams to ensure project progression per schedule, on budget, and within scope parameters. -Provides constructive feedback to support individual and team development. -Develop/implement project work plans/methodologies for complex projects, as applicable. Lead projects/task orders for programs in which the candidate is engaged.

What You Bring

-LEED Accredited Professional (AP), or equivalent, preferred. -Travel (25%+/-) is anticipated based on program/project responsibilities. -Minimum of 12 years of overall Architecture experience required -Commercial aviation A/E experience is required, specifically with Florida and southeast region clients. Strategizes and leads dynamic, multi-disciplinary staff in the pursuit and execution of aviation-focused projects. -Thorough knowledge of the business of aviation-specific architecture with demonstrated experience leading, directing and managing people and projects. -Proficient experience and understanding of interdisciplinary relationships between technical resources, clients, and stakeholders. -Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) [Autodesk Revit Architecture/AutoCAD], technical specifications software, as well as applicable building codes, and application project implementation. -Experience developing efficient movement of passengers between ticket counters, queuing areas, baggage claim, arrival/departure roadway systems, and other terminal operations. -It is unlawful in Massachusetts to require or administer a lie detector test as a condition of employment or continued employment. An employer who violates this law shall be subject to criminal penalties and civil liability. -Thorough understanding of airline operations, TSA checkpoint and security operations, baggage handling systems, and landside/airside facility requirements. -BS/BA Architecture; Bachelor of Architecture; or MS/MA Architecture (4-6 Year Degree), with active licensure as a Registered Architect (RA) in the State of Florida. NCARB certification is preferred. -Demonstrated terminal and support facility design and project management experience for large, medium, or small hub airports. -Possess excellent computer skills with a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Adobe, and Bluebeam. -Aviation Architecture/ Program Management qualifications include: -Strong leadership with a minimum of 10 years of aviation-experience in the design, documentation, and management of multi-disciplinary architecture/building engineering projects and staff resources beyond initial licensure. -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to articulate ideas, both verbally and in writing; Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships, both externally and internally; highly precise, detailed, and self-organized; Communicates clearly and respectfully in professional settings -US Citizenship Required -Specific experience with Design/Build and other alternate project delivery methods is highly preferred. -Experience with aviation-specific business development is essential, including market research and developing responses to requests for proposals, as well as oversight of written and graphic marketing materials. -Demonstrated business development/marketing experience as a “Seller-Doer” including proposal management and technical response proposals (SF330, Design/Build, etc.).
