Tasks
-Read and interpret drawings, specifications and plans to ensure City standards and requirements are met. -Ensure compliance of personnel, equipment, materials at work sites to meet Provincial Occupation Health and Safety Act, City of Regina Occupational Health and Safety Manual, City of Regina Standard and Emergency Operating Procedures and legislative and regulatory requirements. -Identify and evaluate defects, connections, appurtenances and system fouling by way of on-site data gathering and assessment of the sewer infrastructure. -Provide direction to heavy equipment operators performing pre-inspection cleaning of underground sewer infrastructure. -Operate inspection equipment and assessment systems to determine the condition of sewer infrastructure. -Develop, monitor and securely manage databases to produce reports, written document, generate work plans and make recommendations for the operational safety and performance of sewer utility infrastructure. -Direct, supervise and coach other employees on sewer system inspection operations and the necessary documentation to monitor and manage performance. -Develop work packages, collect, input and review assessment information. -Requisition and purchase materials, small tools, and supplies within the limits of established authority -Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems and affect repairs with sewer inspection equipment. -Interpret and communicate specifications, drawings, diagrams, manuals, work orders and city policies and standards. -Utilize mobile camera unit, mobile hoists, remote operated camera crawlers, video and still cameras, etc. -Follow all rules and regulations as set out in the Provincial Occupational Health and Safety Act and the City of Regina Occupational Health and Safety Manual and standard operating procedures with respect to water and sewer safety, operations, construction and maintenance. -Maintain, repair and set-up camera equipment and associated apparatus.

What You Bring
-Successful candidates may be required to provide a satisfactory criminal record check per the City of Regina's Criminal Record Check Policy. -Must possess a valid Class 5 Driver's License. -1,000 hours as a sewer camera operator or -Must be able and willing to perform work of a physical nature in field environments and inclement conditions. -Must be comfortable working in environments where sewage is present. -Must obtain necessary permits and certifications to operate sewer and drainage equipment coupled with the necessary certifications as required. -Demonstrated leadership and ability to plan, coordinate, and direct work. -Knowledge of sewer system design, construction, materials, operation, and maintenance. -Must be willing to be on call, perform overtime, and work shift and/or irregular hours. Must respond to callouts and emergencies as required. -Effective communication skills, both oral and written, and ability to build strong working relationships. -Familiarity with the Provincial Occupational Health and Safety Act and City safety policies. -Proficient with Windows-based systems and software (Excel, Access, Word, Roxio) and sewer inspection software. -Ability to operate, maintain, and repair sewer inspection equipment; diagnose mechanical and electrical issues. -2,000 hours as a helper in camera operations. -Skilled in maintaining and securing written and digital records. -Must have the ability to obtain the Pipeline Assessment and Certification Program accreditation. -Must have the ability to obtain Confined Space Entry Certification. -Proof of education is required. -Strong analytical, problem-solving, and computation skills for inspections and reporting. -Level 2 Wastewater Collection Operator Certification (must obtain Level 3 within two years). -Minimum three (3) years of experience in sewer and drainage operations, including:
