Tasks

We’re looking for a hands-on, people-first leader to oversee two high-performing HVAC branches — one in Asheville, NC and another in Lebanon, VA — while expanding our footprint across the Western NC / Tri-Cities corridor. -Ensure operational excellence across scheduling, safety, and financial reporting. -Monitor and manage P&L performance — pricing, costs, margin control, customer retention, and expense discipline. -Identify and pursue regional growth opportunities — service contracts, retrofit projects, and organic expansion. -Collaborate with HR and Accounting to maintain accurate staffing, onboarding, and financial accuracy. -Foster transparent communication across teams and with customers. -Build annual business plans, setting clear goals for revenue, profit, and ROI. -Lead and develop multiple HVAC service and project-based branches. -Partner with service managers and technicians to improve quality and coaching outcomes. -Upholding a best-in-class reputation across the Western NC and VA markets. -Drive a culture of high performance, safety, accountability, and teamwork.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate will be based in or near Asheville, managing both markets and building strong “second-in-command” leaders at each branch. Asheville’s Sr. Project Leader (current #2) is nearing retirement, and Lebanon will need a comparable service-side counterpart. -7–10+ years in HVAC/mechanical services (commercial & industrial). -Proven experience with P&L ownership and forecasting. -Customer-focused and approachable. -High employee engagement and leadership bench strength at each branch. -Creative problem solver who drives accountability and alignment. -3–5+ years leading teams or managing service operations. -Comfortable in Microsoft Office (especially Excel). -Strong organizational and analytical skills — you run toward problems, not from them. -Deep understanding of service and retrofit business models. -Track record of developing talent, improving processes, and building teams that win together. -Natural leader with a builder’s mindset. -Known for jobsite safety and operational discipline.
