-Capable of assisting in audit preparation, evidence gathering, and security control implementation -Patch management, system hardening, and backup/restore procedures -Design, deployment, and management of Azure environments including Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Azure AD, Intune, and hybrid identity

What You Bring

-In-depth understanding of CMMC 2.0, NIST SP 800-171, and CIS Controls v8.1 frameworks -Expert-level knowledge of Windows Server (2016–2022) including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and WSUS -Knowledge of encryption standards, multi-factor authentication, and data protection practices -Proven experience administering and securing both on-premises and cloud environments -Ability to schedule and document own time management and reporting -Strong/excellent written and verbal communication skills (for collaboration) -Strong understanding of Azure networking, storage, virtual machines, policy management, and role-based access control (RBAC) -Ability to sit or stand for long durations. -Understand and champion change management -Ability to produce clear technical documentation, system diagrams, and change records -Demonstrated history of compliance-driven IT operations (CMMC, NIST, or similar frameworks) -Solid organizational skills (methodical/action plans/schedules/etc.) -Understanding of Wi-Fi and switching technologies -Experience maintaining network security, segmentation, and performance monitoring -Positive and professional interpersonal skills -Ability to self-manage time and deliverables based on criticality -Scripting and automation using PowerShell or equivalent -Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a methodical approach to problem solving -Experience with vulnerability management, incident response, and log monitoring -Proficiency in LAN/WAN architecture, VLAN configuration, routing, VPNs, and firewall management -Ability to translate compliance requirements into technical controls and documentation -Familiarity with cost management, backup, and monitoring within Azure environments -Experience with virtualization platforms (e.g., Hyper-V, VMware) -Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to evolving technologies -Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field and at least 5 years of IT experience, or 10 years of progressively responsible IT experience in systems engineering, networking, or infrastructure roles -Strong sense of ownership, integrity, and attention to detail -Ability to work on a computer for extended periods.
