Tasks
-Organizes workflow and ensures that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks -Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations -Oversees team operations and the daily workflow of the team -Communicates information from leadership to employees and vice versa -Implements training for new hires and identifies training opportunities for current staff -Mentors others on interpreting, understanding, and employing those laws and regulations -Agency scoping meeting presentations and materials; agency consultation documents (e.g., Section 7, Section 4(f), Section 106, EFH Consultations) -Monitors employee productivity and provides constructive feedback and coaching -Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy -Field studies as needed to support NEPA and regulatory compliance -Works with market sector leaders to advance technical skills within the team -Permit applications, reports, studies, memos associated with environmental and regulatory compliance -Recruits and hires new employees -Sets goals for performance and deadlines in ways that comply with company’s plans and vision and communicates them to employees

-Understands procedures, timelines, compliance concerns, and requirements of the full NEPA and regulatory compliance process -Mastery of technical fundamentals -Highly efficient at providing technical solutions to the most complex challenges and guides others towards the same -Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) - Advanced -All manner of technical reports, memos and studies associated with and/or required by NEPA and state/local environmental compliance -Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred -Expert-level ability to interpret, understand, and employ NEPA and Environmental laws, regulations, guidance, guidelines, E.O's, and procedures with full proficiency: -NEPA documents (CEs, EAs, EISs) -Driving is an essential job function or a valid driver’s license is required to support legitimate business purposes -NEPA guidelines from various federal agencies -Years of experience required: 15 years -Laws and regulations relevant to NEPA and environmental compliance -Years of experience required with advanced degree: 14 years -American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) and/or NEPA certification (e.g., through USU / Shipley or Duke University) preferred -Applicable NEPA and NEPA related E.O.'s
