The Role

Overview

Operate Hydrovac equipment for utility excavation, safety, and site preparation.

Tasks

-Conduct pre-trip/walk-around safety inspections and completes daily Field Level Hazard Assessments, logs and reports any maintenance concerns with the equipment -Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, and/or loaders to excavate, move, load and grade earth, rock, gravel or other materials during construction and related activities -Ensure health and safety is the number one goal by following policies, guidelines and acting in a safe manner at all times

What You Bring

-Prior experience operating a Hydrovac -Must have and maintain a clean driver’s abstract -Successful completion of pre-employment requirements -Must be able to work in confined areas -Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including the ability to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis -This position will require travel throughout the state of Washington as needed - per diem and travel accommodations will be provided if working overnight and out of market -Day-lighting and soft excavating for telecom, hydro and gas -Previous experience in telecommunications is an asset -Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions (hot, cold, rain, snow, and sleet) and perform work on uneven surfaces -Ability to drive a manual transmission -Possess a valid Class A or B CDL with Tanker and Airbrake endorsements
