Tasks

Join INTEC Energy Solutions and take a central role in delivering a high-performing solar asset, while developing systems, processes, and a foundation for future site staff. -Impact & Innovation: Contribute to New Zealand’s transition to clean energy while developing innovative solutions to enhance asset performance. -Ensure full compliance with HSE standards while acting as the on-site custodian for safety, security, and operational best practices. -Operate, maintain, and optimise solar farm assets including inverters, combiner boxes, PV modules, trackers, SCADA, and related systems. -Monitor and analyse site performance using SCADA and other platforms to drive continuous improvement and long-term asset reliability. -Professional Support: Work closely with experienced corporate teams and a highly skilled O&M Manager. -Establish and manage site operational systems, including SOPs, spares management, warranty processes, contractor coordination, and emergency readiness. -Perform preventative and corrective maintenance, including inspections, testing, fault response, and performance troubleshooting.

What You Bring

You will be well supported by our experienced teams in both Christchurch and Australia, providing guidance, expertise, and strategic oversight as you take the lead on-site. This role is perfect for a proactive and capable professional looking to grow their career in renewable energy operations. We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Technician (or Level 4 Electrician) to become the first permanent on-site team member at our newly completed Kaitaia Solar Farm. This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of day-to-day site operations, build systems and processes from the ground up, and play a key role in driving the performance, safety, and efficiency of the facility. -Solar farm or renewable energy maintenance experience highly desirable. -LV switching competency and willingness to obtain HV. -Electrical trade qualification (Registered Electrician/Fitter or equivalent). -Experience maintaining industrial, commercial, or utility-scale electrical assets. -Ability to work independently, take initiative, and develop operational processes. -CMMS and SCADA system experience preferred. -Strong understanding of electrical safety requirements and industry regulations.
