Overview

Construct and maintain energized utility poles and lines above 600V.

Tasks

-Test primary lines for grounding and demonstrate proper grounding techniques -Follow safety performance requirements -Frame transformer and install secondary and service -Provide valid US work authorization documents for E-Verify -Work on utility poles and fixtures on limited energized situations -Perform Administrative duties as required

What You Bring

-Pass pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug screens -Pre-employment medical fit-for-duty test; hold/obtain DOT medical card -All worksite safety instructions are written and spoken in English; must be fluent in English -Working safely requires quick/accurate hand-eye coordination and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner -Pass evaluation of competency before promotion and activity in the Apprenticeship Training Program -Work includes prolonged and repeated: lifting (including overhead, up to 50lbs); standing; climbing; kneeling; reaching and feeling; crouching and crawling -Demonstrate proper cover application, handling energized primary conductors -Understand basic electricity, MAD, proper PPE, proper IPP and how to Install -Satisfactory results of pre-employment background check results -Minimum 2 years' experience in the electrical powerline industry -Introduction in meter work, safety in meter work, framing and guying poles, material handling, bucket trucks and proper cover procedures -Complete required company training, including safety training -All the skills required for Lineman D2 -Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
