Tasks

-Prepare standard construction documents, such as technical specifications and tender documents -Prepare design calculations and drawings in accordance with applicable design codes, and also prepare engineering reports and other technical documents -Conduct site inspections from time to time and perform other responsibilities as required -Prepare work plans, schedules, and budgets along with performing analysis of complex structures

What You Bring

-Be conversant in the use of engineering software such as Excel, and Mathcad to efficiently produce engineering calculations -Preferably have the experience and ability to prepare proposals and participate in business development along with the ability and willingness to travel -Hold a bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or higher (Master's degree preferred), be registered as an Engineer in the home state or can obtain within 12 months of employment, and with a minimum of 5+ years of related experience in Bridge Design, or an equivalent -Be knowledgeable in parametric conceptual designs, the use of programming environments like Grasshopper and Dynamo would be beneficial -Be familiar with the use of structural design codes such as AASHTO along with having sufficient exposure to structural analysis software programs (ex: SOFiSTiK, CSiBridge, MIDAS)
