Tasks
-Takes ownership of training newer team members. -Assist in selection of qualified bidders and negotiate final prices. -Determine materials, equipment and tools needed. -Will insure the company QMS program is used and maintained in accordance to company standards. Individual will be able to generate reports and traceability for continuous improvement. -Secure appropriate supply sources. -Schedule work, including subcontractors. -Assist in developing scopes of work for review and approval of MEP Project Manager. -Establish and maintain high safety and quality standards in accordance to company, industry standard, and job specifications. -Assist in ensuring customer satisfaction with the project. -Serve as on-site Safety Officer when one is not specifically assigned to the project. And also, will be required to participate in the company’s safety portion of the QMS program. -Assist in the preparation of various reports, i.e. cost to complete, monthly billings and status reports. -Review all drawings, i.e. P&IDs, Mechanical, Electrical, Shop, Architectural, Structural, etc. when they are issued to the field and coordinate and maintain a current set at all times. -Coordinate and manage on-site construction activities from pre-start-up to completion. -Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. -Assist MEP Project Manager in locating and evaluating potential subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers. -May lead multiple subordinate supervisors and other support staff. -Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training team members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining team members; addressing complaints and resolving problems. -Confers with and directs supervisory personnel and subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work procedures, interpreting specification, and coordinating various phases of construction to prevent delays. -Assist in the productivity and quantity tracking of the subcontractors installed work. -Individual will consult with supervisory personnel to resolve complaints and grievances within the work force. -Assist in pricing work, draft changes and change orders to be reviewed by MEP Project Manager. -Set up and close out construction site. -Prepares or review reports on progress, materials used and costs, and adjusts work schedules as indicated by reports and/or direction from MEP Project Manager. -Assist in the development of MEP project schedule within the entire construction schedule. Prepare estimates in areas of MEP self-performed work, and assist in complete project estimate. Individual poses the ability to assist in coordination/management of all trades throughout build process. -Responsible for procurement of tools and materials to be delivered at specified times to conform to work schedules. -Responsible for the communication, implementation and enforcement of Gray’s safety program on site.

What You Bring
-MS project and other scheduling software a plus. -Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school AND a minimum of ten (10) years of construction experience OR a minimum 15 years related construction experience with increasing responsibility in lieu of a degree. -Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and problem solving skills. -Experience within the light/heavy industrial sector highly desired. -Strong people management skills. -Must be able to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, financial reports, and legal/contract documents. -Must possess basic computer skills including the ability to utilize Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.), tablets and smartphones. -Must possess a strong work ethic and be an energetic, self-motivated individual who enjoys a team environment, as well as a passion for collaboration and professional development. -Must posses the ability to think for his/herself and be able to manage without direction having to be given.
