The Role

Overview

Operate straddle carriers to move and handle containers in a busy terminal.

Tasks

-Drive straddle carriers to move containers within the confines of the Terminal / Port, as necessary, to service the landside and shipside operations -Ensure that care is taken of company property and equipment -Maintain shift, start and finish time integrity -Deliver customers cargo to and from vessels in the condition which it was delivered to the terminal -Deliver to customers satisfactions -Upholding the highest standards of safety and adherence to operating policies and procedures

What You Bring

-Experience of working in ports and with plant machinery is preferred, but not necessary as full training will be given -Flexible approach to shift patterns -Full UK driving licence -Experience driving a straddle carrier would be advantageous -Ability to understand and follow computer delivered information -Manual handling, lashing & mooring -Full valid UK driving licence -Full UK working rights
