The Role

Overview

Lead complex technical problem solving and project management with minimal supervision.

Tasks

-research and documentation of scope and format of complex technical projects -assistance in training and work review of less experienced technical specialists in complex technical discipline -application of appropriate codes, standards, procedures and standard terminology and symbols to produce complex technical work -maintain accurate records and files -complete and accurate highly technical documents such as summary reports, correspondence, specifications, procedures, and statistical analyses -support of the company's goals and represents the company positively and professionally -effective planning, organizing, scheduling, and monitoring of work activities to ensure accomplishment of team goals -technical consulting and direction to clients, engineers, and project stakeholders

What You Bring

-Associate’s Degree in area of expertise with 10 years of relevant experience; or Bachelor’s degree with 8 years relevant experience; or Advanced degree (MS) with 4 years relevant experience; or 15 years of relevant technical experience -Able to manage multiple tasks and provide leadership to other team members. -Skilled in the principles of project management -effective oral and written communication skills -Time management skills with the ability to plan and prioritize work activities to meet goals and deadlines -Ability to deal with a variety of individuals from various socio-economic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds -Prerequisite for promotion within the job string requires strong performance at prior level. -Work independently -Excellent research and communication skills -Experience in the utility industry -Ability to apply sound and diversified knowledge of the principles and practices of the technical area to perform highly complex technical work -Ability to represent the company in industry activity in area of expertise -Proven Computer skills appropriate for area of expertise -advanced technical expertise and leadership in the identification, analysis, and resolution of problems -Understanding of fundamental concepts in area of expertise
